15" MBPr Safari stutters after MBP update

I just downloaded the MBP update via Software Update and now Safari stutters like crazy when I scroll slowly down the screen. Terrible, graphic drop outs. Any remedies? Can I undo the update?

I believe I installed :

"MacBook Air and MacBook Pro Update 2.02.0"

(which offered graphics and stability enhancements and improved USB device performance.... or a some such similar description.)

Running OS X 10.8.2

There's no way to undo an update, is there?

Why do these updates cause so many issues with the retina MBPs?

I waited several days before installing it, waiting to see if there would be some discussion online somewhere about it, because previous updates caused similar issues. I found this discussion AFTER I made the update: (the headline seems to match the current problem, however the body of that article appears outdated and addressing other problems. It was just published a day or two ago.... as usual, no one seems to know anything.)

Actually there are a couple discussions on this topic already, if you would have used the search function you probably would have found them. Do an SMC reset and that should fix your problem. However, after the computer goes to sleep your problem may come back and require another SMC reset. This is what people are complaining about, there doesn't seem to be a permanent fix only a temporary fix and hopefully Apple will acknowledge the problem and release a permanent fix.
