UK iPhone but moving to Canda

Hello all,

I have an iPhone 4 (on contract with Vodafone) and am moving to Canada next year. I would like to use my iPhone when I get over there and just buy a SIM card (not sure whether to get PAYG or Contract just yet) and wonder if getting it unlocked will allow me to use it abroad. In my experience getting a phone unlocked allows you to use different network SIM cards in it but I don't know if it is the same for using it in different countries...

Not sure if this makes any difference but I think my iPhone is actually a refurbished one from an official Apple shop; my original phone broke but was under warranty so the lovely Apple staff gave me a 'new' one.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Louise.
