How do I unlock my iphone 4s?

Hi a recently bout a iphone 4s from ebay which is locked to an american mobile carrier, Sprint. How do I unlock it so I'm able to use it on another carrier in Australia?

Contact Sprint USA they should provide you with information.

Only the carrier to which the phone is locked can legitimately unlock the phone. You need to contact Sprint and find out if they will unlock it for you. Most U.S. carriers will only unlock phones for people who are their customers so you're probably out of luck.
