Preview on iPad Book Title is Untitled

So far as I can tell, I set my book title by going through file>rename. However, when I export to iPad using preview, in List View, the book is Unknown Title, Unknown Artist.

In icon View, I get a sensible title, although it is not the one that I set in file>rename.

Versions are the latest ones for Author and iBooks.

How do I set the Title and Artist in List View within iBooks?

I have found out the answer.

Use View>Show Inspector

This gives you access to all sorts of document attributes including Author and Title.

This works when the document is previewed in iPad
