I have a new ipad mini. Love it. But. When I type a full screen note in the notes app, or the Evernote app, the on screen keyboard covers the text. I can't seem to get the text to scroll up so I can see what I am typing. I am a seasoned ipad user and this doesn't happen on the ipad. Is there a tip or trick I'm missing?

If its not the floating keyboard described in the post above, did you try rebooting the iPad?
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Thanks. Keyboard icon (hold) -> Split -> Dock and merge option seems to work best as it keeps my keyboard in the bottom of the screen and allows the text to scroll up. Undock seems to move the keyboard up toward the middle of the screen which is less comfortable to type - for me. Thank you! Problem fixed!

I am also having this problem where i can manage to scroll down the notes to see what i am typing. very annoying as the keyboard is always covering the text. Seems to have only happened recently
I'm also having this problem it only started on my iPad mini a couple of weeks ago
Just tried pressing keyboard key in bottom right of keyboard for two seconds then press undock and dock again problem solved
