Is there a USB hub that will successfully connect external drives to a MacBook Pro?

I have only 2 USB ports in my MacBook Pro, but need to connect 2 external hard drives as well as a printer, wireless mouse and occasionally other items. The external drives aren't recognized by my laptop when connected through the hub I currently have. Is there a USB hub that will work with externals for the Mac?
