Final Cut Pro 7 - what sequence?

I am used to using Final Cut Pro at my institution which has templates etc installed for us to make setup easier.

However, I have recently been given a copy of Final Cut Pro 7 and was wondering how to set it up to edit footage from my Sony Handycam DCR-SR37 (PAL 25f/s). Most options are for DV footage etc. I know FCP is not fond of 'domestic' cameras but there's things that iMovie cannot do for me which is why I want to use FCP for this particular footage.
