Banner Video Formats in Compressor and their Quality

Hi,

I'm working on some banner videos and their formats are

160x600

300x250

I've been working in Final Cut Pro X, which of course doesn't let you custom change the format, but I worked with a photoshop template that framed my work to the size I needed and I scaled the footage down. The quality is fine, looks crips and clear.

Then I send it to Compressor, and I've used every setting there is from H.264 to HD 720p for Youtube and Vimeo and so on. I custom change the size to 160x600, crop the video accordingly and submit.

The final version I get sometimes works, and sometimes doesn't. Some of the Jpgs end up blurry, some of the text ends up blurry, and I find especially the last few frames seem to suffer the most. I need it to work all the time. The 160x600 isn't as bad as the 300x250...

I'm not too technical, I admit, so any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much!

Kind regards,

Deborah
