key command to open the 'show downloads'
is there a key command to open the 'show downloads' box in the right corner of safari?

BTW, enable Safari's Debug menu which has a Keyboard and Mouse Shortcuts option. To do that, quit Safari, launch the Terminal app in /Utilities, copy & paste this command into the window that pops up, hit the return key, quit the Terminal app, and launch Safari.
defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeInternalDebugMenu 1
To disable it, repeat the steps, but use this command:
defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeInternalDebugMenu 0
