Q: my voice mail indicator does not show when I have a vm

We just had to switch out our 4GS at the Apple store a week ago........and now the new ones does not indicate when we have a vm waiting.  

How can I fix this ?

    you can try a reset, hold down the home/power button until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.

    Thanks am trying that.   We keep getting a box that asks for our vm passcode, but we have never used that... any way to override that ?

     

    The re-boot did not resolve.... now I'm guessing it has to do with the password request.

    If it is prompting you for a password, that means you have a voicemail.

     

    To get the password, you will need to contact your phone carrier and have them reset it.

     

    If you are on AT&T - on your phone dial 611 - then follow the prompt for voicemail - then the prompt for reset passcode, once you have done that you will receive a text.   Then go to your voicemail enter that passcode and then setup your voicemail and then listen to it.
