iPod setting with Alpine CDE-9852 headunit

Very odd problem that's cropped up since I installed the Alpine CDE-9852 headunit with the hi-speed Alpine KCE-422i iPod Control Interface Cable. Every time I disconnect the iPod from the cable, in the settings, it has changed to "repeat all". Now I never use that setting with the iPod alone, and I also never use repeat on the Alpine unit. This sounds like some kind of bug I may have to contact Alpine about, but was wondering if anyone out here has experienced it. BTW, I LOVE the Alpine with iPod! This is the only problem I've encountered. The hi-speed cable does everything as advertises and very quickly.

Alpine support says, basically, live with it. I noticed in a review off the Crutchfield Web site that someone else was having the same issue. Actually, what Alpine CS said made sense. The way the unit is set up by default is to repeat the playlist/album that you are listening to in the car (much like many single-disc CD players start replaying the CD when they get to the end). So, when you disconnect the iPod from the hi-speed cable, it's set to replay all. It's really not been much of a problem for me. If I forget to switch it off after removing the iPod from my car, the worse that happens is that it replays whatever playlist/album I listen to the next time I use the iPod outside the car. And, as you and I both agree, it's great save for this one quirk.
