Trash wont empty at all

Every time I click on "secure empty trash" and Click on Remove all Items, the process of Deleting Starts but then it quits without any message or anything. My trash has over 14,000 items that I have been deleting and they have move there, thats over 100.00 GB of wasted Space. I am going crazy because I cant really delete anything out of my hard drive. Any sugestions? Thanks
