When Logic Pro came out I bought it asap - of course on a bunch of DVD's.

I've had it installed and running on my computer ever since, but I've recently bought a new Retina Macbook Pro.

I want to start clean (no Time Machine mumbojumbo) and install Logic Pro on my rMBP, but would like to know if there is any way to install from the App Store?

As mentioned earlier - I've bought Logic Pro, but not at the time App Store excisted.

Is there any way to "connect" my old Logic Pro serial code to my Apple-ID/App Store account?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

No, there isn't any way to connect them, but it doesn't really make any difference - if you installed from disks, you use Software Update to keep it current. If you use the app store version, you download the latest update.

The thing that probably matters is that your serial number represents your license to use the software.
