pleaseee help me out it's soo frenetic and i love my ipod to bits, i need to start using it again coz it has my lecture notes on it from University LOL i know sounds weird but i need it asap thx , softaware version is actually 4. 3.5 🙂

You'll need to connect it to the iTunes library you normally sync it with and restore it. If iTunes asks you for this passcode before it will let you proceed, connect the iPod to iTunes in recovery mode instead using the instructions in this Apple support document.

hey thanks i already did the home button and power button thing, but it still didn't worked for me, have you got any other ideas why it won't let me go through my ipod touch 8gb? thanks

What happens when you try to restore the iPod via iTunes? any error message?

If it says enter passcode on the iPod try placing the iPod in DFU mode and then restore.

no there are no error messages, but when i press the home button i still get the passcode screen, and it asks for the passcode and to be honest i tried all my old ones, but it still doesn't work, and in iTunes i get no messages either O_o

Try using this program to get the iPod in recovery mode. The restore via iTunes.

so it means i have to go to Apple store and get it fixed, or what shall i do now? i went today to Apple shop and they have adviced me to do the same exact thing but it's still not helping me, i have got all my stuff's back like song's, video's, purchase, pics, but it's only the passcode screent that it's still there??

Sounds good. What do you mean same process thing again? If you mean trying to place iPod into DFU or recovery mode again so you can restore it, then I would definitely give it another shot. Wouldn't hurt.

Aren't they still in your iTunes library? If so, simply configure them to sync back over to the iPod.

Otherwise, you can redownload most via iCloud at no cost. See here for more information.

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

For non-iTunes store purchases, you'll need to reimport or re-rip them from their original source.
