I cannot seem to connect to www.shopsmith.com. I have contacted shopsmith by phone and they say it should work fine. I have contacted the shopsmith forum and everyone there has no problem with using Safari. Anyone have any ideas?

What happens when you try to load the site?
I have had this problem in the past. What I discovered that fix it for me was to cleanout the cookies from my browser. It appears that some of them were corrupted and were preventing the web site from displaying correctly.

It gives me a page that says Safari cannot find server.
It didn't do that for me.The web site opened normal when I tried it.

Guess I'm stuck calling them on the phone to place orders now. Can't understand what happened. It use to work fine. I emptied the cookies and cache and reset Safari and still says it cannot find the server.
Strange one... initially fails on Safari but works fine with Firefox and Chrome.
Using Safari > Reset Safari allowed Safari to access the web site immediately.
I do not use Safari as my primary browser so a complete reset is not an issue for me.
Have you tried clearing cookies?

Did both. I can't even get there using Google Chrome.
Launch the Network Utility application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Network Utility in the icon grid.
Step 1
Select the Lookup tab and enter
www.shopsmith.com
in the address field. Press return. Post the output – the text, please, not a screenshot.
Step 2
Select the Ping tab and do the same.
