I was working on a presentation and wanted to have a textbox appear beside an identical one so that they looked like one piece.  They had the same font and size with a color background.  The problem I had was that the second textbox appeared to be a pixel or two shorter.  When zoomed out in edit mode it was barely or not noticeable but when I played it, you could see the difference in height.

As I understand it the text box height is automatic based on the chosen font and size so if this is the case, why would these boxes be different?

I solved my problem finally but simply pasting over a box that duplicated and extended the original and had it appear on top but now I am curious if there is some reason that these boxes could be different heights and if so if there is a fix if it should come up again in the future.

Thanks!

because there will be at lease one property of the hundreds to choose from that will be different

if you want an identical item whether text, shape, table, use the duplicate command

command D      or    edit > duplicate
