Q: Need help with thermal calibration for PowerMac G5

There is no risk because the fans WILL run at full speed until you run a thermal calibration.

You may have to start looking for someone who can do the job for you locally, who is Apple certified.

I know when my PowerMac Quad lost a processor, the Apple Store told me they could no longer do the work but they did give me the name of someone here in Colorado that could do it. After discussing things with him, I finally decided to give up on my PM and get a Mac Pro instead.

Its simple, you can't. You will have to locate a service provider that can do the job.

I think I may have an ASD 2.5.8 CD, it may take me a day or two to find it, but if I do I will let you know ASAP.

My Mac Pro is being used as a PowerPC/Intel file server and print server. All my Macs have access to the mac pro as a server.
