The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.
10.4 instructions...
Is that Interface dragged to the top of Network>Show:>Network Port Configurations.

Nov 15, 2012 2:01 PM in response to BDAquaby alenjimo,it is still coming up that i am not connected to the internet and i dragged the ethernet to the top of the list should i delete the telephone modem option to force it select the ethernet or does it not work that way?

Nov 23, 2012 7:44 PM in response to BDAquaby alenjimo,ok with a taking a bit of the help you gave me and the bit of a gut feeling i tried something, What i did was i re-downloaded the itunes 9. blah blah blah i cant remember the whole program file name...... after re-downloading and re-installing the entire thing it took like a grand total of maybe 5s. and everything started up just fine with no problems and no (make sure your internet connection is active) box. but thank you very much for you help like your link didnt totally solve my problem but sparked an idea....
