My G5 iMac died, and I am trying to move everything to a G4 PowerBook (via Time Machine). I managed to move my apps and docs but not Bookmarks or Contacts. What should I do?
iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.8)
PS-- I do have my contacts and most of the bookmarks on my iPad2 (iOS 6). Is there an easy way to transfer them from there to the PowerBook? would that be a simpler procedure than using Time Machine?
If the G5 iMac's hard drive is still okay, you could pull the hard drive from the G5, put it in an external enclosure and hook that up to your G4 Powerbook.
