Computer iTunes > Store > View My Account > In Account Information, click Manage Devices under iTunes in the Cloud.
Thanks, but I dont appear to have that option.
My son has lost his ipod nano so I want to remove it from my iTunes account. I'm assuming its 5 devices per iTunes account, so I want to remove so I can add a new one.

Are you using the iTunes from the computer?

You have 10 devices per account but no more than 5 computers.
Yes I am using iTunes from the computer.
Great, 10 devices, I didn't know that 🙂
What if I wanted to sell a device, would I just reset to factory settings? Should it be removed?
If you want to sell, don't forget to delete iCloud account, iTunes & App Stores sign off, switch iMessage and FaceTime off. The reasons for these are that lots of user complained that their FT, iM are associated with the old devices and couldn't get it to work on the new devices.
After that restore as new without backup using iTunes or
do it directly in Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings
