Should i get Macbook 3.1 or PowerMac G5

Which one should i get for garageband and using safari just to watch videos in youtube etc.

Ram: 2GB 667MHz

VGA: Intel GMA X3100


PowerMac G5:

PowerMac11,2 (Late 2005)

Dual 2GHz Power PC G5

1.5GB DDR2 SDRAM (2x256MB ja 2x512MB, vabu slote alles 4 tk, max 16GB)

WD 750GB 7200rpm (WD7500AAKS)

16x SuperDrive

GeForce 6600 LE 128MB

PowerBook, Mac OS X (10.4.8), PowerBook 15 Inch 1,5 GHz

As dalstott says, the PPC chip is becoming obsolete and certainly will be in another 15 or 20 years. However, you're comparing apples to oranges. The Macbook (really a PC clone since it has the Intel cpu) is a fragile laptop, whereas the G5 you list is a very powerful workstation. The *only* thing to avoid with the G5 series is the liquid-cooled versions, and the dual 2 GHz isn't one of those.
