3G reception

iPhone 5 the 3G signal on the phone keeps dropping out. I have placed my 5 next to my wife's iPhone 4 and she was getting 3G but the 5 was not getting anything. This as append in numerous places is the any thing I can do. I have done a hard rese also the reset network settings on the phone.
