If I try to send a message via iMessage, even though I have several places registered for a given recipient (Jabber, Google Talk, etc), it will ALWAYS send as an SMS to the phone (unless, of course, I go in manually and change the destination).
This is annoying when trying to message co-workers in the office, as phones keep ringing all over the place.
Is there a way to specify the default destination for a user or for iMessage in general?
In Messages go to the Messages menu >Preferences > Accounts
In the iMessages Account change the bottom drop down on the right to the Apple ID.
This will mean the greyed out identifying ID/iPhone number or other Screen Name will change for iMessages.
