Cannot mirror ipad2 to HDTV. All requisites fulfilled.

Question

Cannot mirror ipad2 to HDTV. All requisites fulfilled.

I have the latest software 6.0.1 on my ipad2 and latest version 5.1 on 3rd gen Apple TV. Both are on the same wifi network. When I activate mirroring on ipad2 nothing happens and the settings change back to ipad2 from Apple TV mirroring in 2-3 seconds. Do I need to setup the ipad2 with the Apple TV any other way as all the requisites are done. Nothing comes on HDTV screen. I have successfully connected the Apple TV to the wifi as the same as the ipad2

Clearly they are not since it is not working. Has AirPlay been enabled on the ATV? Has that user name and password (not your AppleId) been entered into the iPad?

AirPlay is enabled and onscreen code is enabled. Onscreen code is just a password.

No it is not. It is a differnt authenticaiton method entirly. You can not enter that as the passowrd for your AirPlay user ID and password. You have to enter the user ID and password setup for AirPlay.
