Why do MP3 songs not play on my Ipod classic?
MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)
Do they play okay in iTunes? Try running them through MP3 Validator to make sure they are healthy files.

After it fixes the file, does it relaod it in itunes? Btw, the file works on my iPhone 5
You should delete the old entry from iTunes and re-import them after that.

Sorry for being green on this, but how do i re-import from the MP3 Scan + Repair application?
You'll need to locate them via the Finder on your PC and then drag them into iTunes.

I did that, but it still doesnt play on this ipod. Hmmm...why does it play on my itunes and iphone, but not my ipod??
How the iPod classic handles playback is different from the iPod Classic. Are you sure the files are repaired? If nothing else, convert them to another format in iTunes.
