Nobody thinks night mode is too bright?

The night mode, even at minimum level of brightness is too high... Is not comfortable to read without any light. Don't you think?

When I use night mode, I go to iPad settings first & set the general brightness as low as it will go. Then I do the same with the brightness mode in iBooks. With both set as low as they will go, it's just right for me.

Does anyone from Apple review these posts? I can't find any FAQs on Apple Support that identify this issue. Judging from the posts, it seems like many are experiencing the same problem, with various vehicle manufacturer installed CarPlay units as well as after-market units (Pioneer, JVC, Kenwood). I have a Pioneer AppRadio 4 with Apple CarPlay. Before iOS10, I had no problems with my Apple map going dark after a certain time in the evening - I assumed it was programmed to dusk/dawn times based on my time zone. When I say "dark", I mean that the screen would go from the bright white background to a dark gray background. It was not related to whether or not my headlights are on as I do sometimes drive with my lights on during the day, and it never went dark just because my headlights were on. After iOS 10, it will not go into dark mode if I'm just using the map without a destination. But if I ask Siri to guide me to a destination, the map does go dark. (One person who replied also made this as a suggestion as a workaround.) So I do not believe that this is related to a particular vehicle or radio brand, but has something to do with the latest release. I'm not a developer, but I would think that it should be relatively easy for Apple to either fix this or leave it up to users and design a setting in CarPlay for a user to select "use" or "do not use" a night-time mode for Apple Maps.
