How may I read IBooks on my MAC?

I have a MacBookPro; how do I read my IBooks on this?

MacBook Pro, iOS 6.0.1

Sadly, iBooks is strictly for iOS devices.

I have no idea why Apple chose to omit a corresponding OS X app, but I surmise it was a marketing decision.
