I closed and re-opened Final Cut7 several times. Rebooted. But still the clips look while in the Stop position in the Viewer - yet they look normal on my external monitor -. And when I hit Play in the Viewer they have normal Audio and Video. Is this a red flag for anything? Is there anything I should do to prevent a problem? Or is it just a "bug"?

You have your Viewer set to display ALPHA only. Set it to RGB.

Thank you very much. I do search when I have an idea where to search: I checked the Settings, tried other clips, restarted the Application. I just don't know enough yet to look for Alpha and RGB. Now I do, thanks to you. Thank you very much Studio X.
