Forgot password and now phone says connect to itunes

My daughter tried password too many times and now my phone says connect to itunes. I am connected but can not find what to do!!

iPhone 4S, iOS 3.0.1

Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and Restore...

If necessary Place the Device into Recovery mode...

Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices. Select the Summary tab, and click the Restore button.
