How do you delete a downloaded podcast episode after you listened to it (but keep it in the list, not as a download)?

I have the same problem because from some reason ever since the last update to the application "keep only unplayed" doesn't make the played podcasts disappear. The only other option is to MANUALLY delete every episode

Seems like someone in another thread suggested that the only way to get access to those episodes again is to go to the actual itunes store podcast episode list and select/download it from there.

Which I'm hoping is incorrect. That souns like a ridiculous hassle to go through.

In the new version you can go to the desired episode, press the blue arrow on the right and you'll see several options, one of the is Remove Download. That'll do it.

If I understood your question correctly, what just worked for me was -- I deleted the downloaded episodes. Then I right clicked on the show's title and and selected "Show all available episodes" (the option is 3rd from the top on a PC).

The issue was (it works in the current version), that the played episodes were supposed to be deleted automatically according to the settings, but they weren't.

You could delete them manually of course so they won't take unneeded space on your device, but since I listen to a lot of podcasts that was quite a tedious task.

I am quite happy that this bug was fixed (mostly).
