Q: Network drive?

I bought a Time Capsule 2Tb. And I like a lot the Apple products. But it's possible just 2 options:

1. Use as a network drive.

2. Use as Time Machine HD.

So... I want another option: divide on two partitions, one for Time Machine and other as a network drive. Why is it not possible? Please, I demand tis on a Software Atualization.
