Q: textedit won't let me open a saved page; it won't let me save a version of a page; I go to Finder-Get info & all looks ok, but isn't - please help.  I can't turn textedit off or else I lose the few pages that I was working on & that went to the dock.

Please help me to open my saved TextEdit pages.  Help me to "Save a version" of a revised TextEdit page.  I'm not able to do either.

This happens every once in a while, and I don't know how to undo it.  I go to Finder - Get info, and it looks like I have permission to "read and write", but nothing changes.      Thank you very much for your time and help.  : )
