Thanks for the reply.
I downloaded Airport utility and tried to install it, but I couldn't. The message that came back was that I had the wrong operating system.
I have 10.6.8 Where do I go fom here?
Thanks
Dan
You already have v5 airport utility built into the computer..
Just go to Applications, Utilities and open the airport utility.. go to Disk page and use the disconnect all users..
Even simpler.. reboot the whole network..
Restart in this order.. modem.. router/TC.. clients.. 2min gap.
That will shut everything off and disconnect left over connections.
I went to application, utilities and opened the airport utilities, but saw nothing about Disk page??
I'll just reboot and try that route.
Thanks for the suggestions
Dan
Sorry I always make assumptions.. manual setup.. when you start up the utility.. you get just an intro page.. you can then do either.. wizard automated setup or manual setup.. choose manual setup.. then you will see all the details.
Thanks for that additional information, i'll keep it in mind for the next time and I am sure there will be a next time.
This time I took the reboot route and the restart procedure. All is now well and I thank you all for the help.
It's purring along nicely, at present.
Thanks
Dan
