Issues connecting to the Grace Media Database

When uploading data for a CD I receive: "An error occured in the query subsystem." Also, I do not get data importing popular store purchased CDs. I connect to the Interent fine and am not using a proxy server. I entered the case on the same PC iTunes is installed. I have the latest version of iTunes. This is the first time I have imported CDs or tried to upload track data I have entered. Are any special settings needed? From the help files, it appears it should be an automatic upload / download.

Can it be a Bonjour issue?

I really doubt it, since Bonjour is used for other things like network device detection and communication.

If you are certain nothing is blocking communication on your computer or router, perhaps there is a required iTunes component missing. You might try downloading and installing iTunes again. You could precede this by uninstalling iTunes but I would consider that a last resort.

That is all I can think of for now. I perused Gracenote's website and found nothing enlightening.

I have tried removing all traces of iTunes / Apple software, multiple reboots, multiple CDs, rebuilding my library, disabling my A / V software and running the iTunes diagnostics. I have not had success getting this to work.

I have found multiple requests for help going back to 2007 on this same issue. Never has Apple responded to a single instance I have found.

Still iTunes does not upload to Gracenote nor find song names for CD's I feel are likely to be there.

Frustrating.

Found the answer to how to check Gracenotes content . We no longer can check.

Where did the music search go?

Gracenote made the hard decision to remove the website search in favor of focusing the site and our web resources on our customers. Many millions of you will still use Gracenote’s recognition technology daily, on your desktop with products like iTunes and Winamp, on your mobile phones, in your cars and home entertainment systems. Thank you for understanding.
