I have been using Word on my MAC for a year, no problem, untill 2 days ago, when working on a document, supported with pictures, another icon of Word doc appears on the dashboard with DOCX written on it and can't get rid of it. when trying to put it into trash I get the message ERROR 43.

WHAT HAVE I DONME WRONG AND HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM?

    Hello,

      fnfErr                        = -43,  /*File not found*/

    One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...

    PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive

    Reboot, test again.
