I have a .wmv file that I believe is using a G2M4 codec. What steps do I need to go through to play this in Quicktime on my MacBook? I do not have access to a PC. Current behavior when playing the video, is I hear audio, but screen is black. Thanks!

So downloaded the Flip4Mac V3.0, still getting this error when attempting to play video in Quicktime.
QuickTime Player can't open "2012-11-06 11.03 SPOT Software Review.wmv" because a required codec isn't available.
Thoughts?
You may have to relaunch QuickTime (or restart your machine) before the new codec can be used.

No. GoToMeeting has a funfky codec that doesnt work with Apple.
But you can try to change the codec with something like video converter, by donig that, you can get your files to play on Mac.

If you want to play this kind of file in QuickTime, you'd better to convert them to MP4 or MOV.
It also applies to convert the files to WMV, MKV, FLV, AVI, MP3, WAV, etc.
