I received the new iphone 5 and Im trying to transfer everything over from my old iphone by the icloud will not back up help!

I reviewed that document but still when I press back up now it takes a couple minutes and then says this backup could not be completed
Connected to WiFi? No Firewalls in operation? Have at least 50MB's of free space on your phone? Have enough space in iCloud...Settings>iCloud>Storage/Backup>Manage Storage>Select your phone.
I think all of those i have but maybe not the 50mb's of free space what can I delete??? I have many pictures probably too many
