How can I get os 10.5 for my old Macbook?
I have an old 13 inch white Macbook running OS 10.4.11. I'd like to upgrade so I could run newer browsers. Advice?

Buy 10.5 install DVD and install it.

Skip 10.5 and purchase a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD by phoning the online Apple Store; those are much cheaper.

As Niel says. 10.6 is newer, cheaper, and much easier to find than 10.5 With an Intel Mac there is likely not much you can run under Leopard that you cannot run under Snow Leopard.
