Prevent App Install with Supervised Devices in Apple Configurator

We don't want our students installing Apps on the iPads in our district. So we created a Supervised Profile which takes away the App Store.

BUT, this also prevents us using Apple Configurator to update or install new Apps.

Therefore, we need to:

  1. Remove Supervised Profile > Apply
  2. Update / Install new Apps > Apply
  3. Install Supervised Profile > Apply

This makes for a lot of wasted time. You would think the Apple Configurator would be able to bypass the Supervision Profile preventing the use of the App Store.

Apple needs to make this possible in the next Apple Configurator update (PLEASE).
