Problems loading Youtube and Facebook with ethernet connection

I have a 2010 13" MacBook. I have no problems with the internet when connected to wifi. When I am connected to my ethernet connection I cannot load Youtube or Facebook completely. The two websites will load partially and let me use certain functions but they will not work entirely. For example facebook won't let me load more than 10 newsfeed posts and will occasionally stop loading chat(it says it is disconnected). Youtube will load everything except for letting the actual video play. It looks like it is trying to buffer but will never actually play any video. I have been using these websites with this connection for awhile but all of a sudden it stopped working. I've tried looking for irregularities in the DNS and tried deleting and readding my ethernet connection. Please help!
