Can't update from 10.8.1 to 10.8.2

Finally! Showed up normaly on the App Store Update page. It is downloading now. I guess the information I got from the Apple Support worker I've been on phone with last week was right after all.

It appears that if you already had installed the pulled 10.8.2 and supplemental 2.0 (which is my case), you don't get any more OS X updates for now. That's my case, I only got iTunes '11 and RAW compatibility updates.

still got issue with HDMI external display using minidisplay port cable 😟 been almost a month now... whats happening APPLE?????

No go. Still "invalid checksum" on download. Just redownloaded 3x. latest error is: "image data corrupted".

Also tried the App Store "10.8.2. / iTunes 11" update. That downloaded, rebooted, and gave an error on restart -- something like "the updates you are trying won't work..."

My 1 week old Mac Mini is getting very nervous about being chucked into the wall. 😮

As this thread is getting huge, I want to remind people that this update available here WILL install to the new Mac Mini shipped with 10.8.1. I know a number of people did this last week, could anyone care to mention if they had had any problems since? I'm getting really sick of not being able to access my iPhoto library because I can't update iPhoto.

I was unable to update using the softpedia link. It says my system is not compatible.

I would not recommend using any website other than Apple to download OS updates.

What model is your Mac (exact specs please)?

You obviously haven't read this thread (and I'm not sure why I'm still subscribed to it). Anyway not using Apple to download the update is the only way we all could update to 10.8.2. And it worked flawlessly. The link is for the models listed in the URL only.

I've read the thread. The point is that Apple replaced the first download link which then worked just fine. Your link is producing an error 404 for me at the moment so I can't check the site.

FWIW, http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1581 is always better than using the crappy MAS.

Yes, I know - I was referring to a website which should not have been offering OS updates when they were not even publicly available from Apple. No idea where they got them. As far as I know, legal downloads for OS updates are only available from Apple. Googling "download 10.8.2" only shows some piratebay type hits (aside from Apple).
