I put a disk into my Mac which I had marked "iTunes backup" to see what songs were on there and now I can't get the disk out or get into itunes.  The colorwheel kept whirling so I cut the computer off. With the computer back on, when I clicked the itunes icon it said I was locked out. Have I broken my computer?

No most likely you did not break your computer unless you put the disk in wrong, could that have happened?

Hi! Thanks for asking. I don't think so, I'd been putting in and ejecting several times.  I caught something I think from my dock with my cursor that left sort of a tab or button that looked like I was enlarging a picture. I ignored it and I'm thinking that might be the problem.  The colorwheel is still rolling behind the scene.....

Ok im not quite sure if i got what you were saying there, but i think i get the jist Are you able to navigate to other places on your computer? Or has it locked everything down with  the pinwheel.

It doesnt sound like anythings been hurt, ive had problems with my laptop before, getting the pinwheel. Alot of times if your just leave it with the pinwheel going it will sort itself out. Your itunes could have just been temporarily locked because it was locating the files, and was slightly bogged down with the disk.

The pinwheel (thx for the new vocabulary word!) is still spinning but I can access other things.  I'll leave it alone for the evening and see if it "feels better" in the a.m.  Thanks for the attention and encouragement!
