Unable to start up after Nvidia update on Macbook Pro Mountain Lion
Hello
I have a macbook pro Os x 10.8.2
Today, when I was browsing my settings and I noticed there was an update for my Nvidia Geforce GT 330 and I installed it. The system asked me to reboot the macbook, and when i did, after the restart I kept getting a white flashing screen and macbook say ""Your Computer was restarted because of a problem" and if i wanted to continue i should press a key or let it do it itself.
I tried something i found over the internet, booting it up in single user mode, and using the command 'sbin/fsck –fy' which in the end laptop says ** The volume appears to be OK.' Then I use exit to logout and laptop restarts with the same problem. I also have a windows 7 bootcamp which works just fine while mac os x doesn't start up.
I tried to open it in safe mode, which mac seems to be ignoring it altogether. I don't want to mess up with any other commands as i am not an expert, and was hoping you could help me.
PS:I can open the recovery 10.8.2 and tried to Repair Disk in disk utility which says everything is just fine and working OK -if you don't count not being able to start up the macbook ...
I am pretty sure it's because of the Nvidia update - version 256.01.00f03v7- and was wondering if there is a way for me to uninstall it , using the bootcamp, or recovery's terminal or something :/
Thank you.
MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)
