I was listening to some music without headphones. Noticed that the sound was coming out of only one of the two speaker "openings". Are there supposed to be two speakers and if so, why would I only be getting sound out of one, other than it's broken.....

Glad you got it sorted out. This is a common question on these forums, about once a week maybe more often. The two bottom mesh grills look identical on all iPhones, until the iPhone 5 which are different sizes now. But one is mic, one is speaker, as you read about.
