Messages Beta end?

Say it isn't so! I like my Lion and Messages together...

I was hoping to keep using this app in Austria until I got my iPhone working over there. (Sprint SIM unlock happening in Janurary)

I'm not ready for Mountain Lion yet, knowing history with bugs, this switch is gonna be... interesting.

Any way to convince apple to keep supporting this?
