I used the migration assistant for my new MAC from my old PC and cannot find any of my music on my MAC or Pictures. It took like 6 hours to finish but there is nothing there. Am I doing something wrong?

Transferring files from one User Account to another

This is not a trivial task. Do not attempt to transfer files from any system folders including the Library and Home/Library folders. Stick to your data in the user's folder.
