my computer got a virus and had to wipe everything out . when i downloaded itunes again i thought i could sync all the music thats on my ipod back on a new itunes but i only lets me transfer my purchases can any one help me out please ?

man that would be perfect but it only lets you back up if you have an iOS devce and i have the ipod classic.... any thing else ?
There are several apps on that page that claim to extract music from the iPod Classic. Scroll down to "Media recovery software".
I have only used Phoneview. It works.
