How to display the time on my raw video?

Hi. Please help. How do I show the time on my raw video so that I could skip some parts?

Like, I know the subject is gonna smile at 01:09, so I'm just gonna go directly to that part, and include it.

Skimming won't do since the subject looks all the same, and the video clip is too long

Click VIEW/PLAYHEAD INFO and you can see the time as you skim.

That features doesn't seem to be in imovie 10.0.2 (current release). I'm trying to figure out the relative or absolute time of the play head (i.e. this moment in the video is 1:23:23. I don't see any way to do that! Thanks for any ideas.
