I authorized my iPhone on my old laptop when I first got it (the phone, not the laptop). Now I've got a new laptop but I can only move media between my library and my iPhone on that first old laptop. Both machines are authorized. But only one lets me move media around. Can anyone help?

iPhone can be synced to only one computer at a time.
Move all stuff you need to your new computer and sync iPhone with it.
I tried that. But it still won't sync on the new computer. I hope I don't have to deauthorize all and the reauthorize in correct order.
When you say won't sync: what error message does it show? Does iTunes see your device, have you connected it via USB or you try to sync via WiFi?
No error message. It says its syncing, Everythings fine (and I'm using USB, not wireless).
But it won't let me add music from this computer.
is your audible account autorized on this computer?

have you copied your music from old computer to the new one and see it in new iTunes library?
My iTunes library is fine. I've downloaded my purchases, and transfered some favourites into my folder. and its all showing normally. I can use iTunes on this computer to play music (via the laptop), I just cant put it on my iPhone.

If you have not yet tried I would reboot both the computer and an iPhone before and give it one more try.
If this reboot would not help, I would deauthorize this computer and authorize it again.

But still I cannot put music on my iPhone.
strange.... what if to try simply "the drastic way" grab an album from itunes and drag it on its left side, right to where it shows your iPhone is connected...

No joy.
I see you use windows, I am not windows user. However searching the web for your problem I found sollution (at least for that guy that had the same problem you have):
1. Plug in the cruddy iphone, and it will show up and try to sync, cancel that nonesense cause it wont do anything anyway.
2. Once its canceled click ure Iphone, Click MUSIC and then DE-Click the music box, a very funky message will pop up saying that it will remove ALL your Music files only from your Iphone <<< YOU WANT THIS
3. Once it deletes all your playlists from your IPHONE and music, manually remove ure 'Albums' from your Music library, I know it ***** if you have alot
4. Manually remove all your playlists on the left side
5. ONCE You have 0 music in ure IPOD on ure Iphone ure good to go
6. The problem occurs when you add a FOLDER to your music library << therefore you must add A File only
7. CLICK add new file to music Library > it will ask you to browse, once it does that open wherever your music files are and select all of them by highlighting it and click open
8. Once all of them are added to ure music library go back to ure Iphone and Music and then click SYNC, it will tell you it will add the music etc etc.
9. It should start syncing, if you noticed before it just said SYNCING at the top, now it will actually say... Syncing file 1-95 or 1-199 depends how many you have.
