Hope someone can help me i am already trying for a while now to connect my mediaplayer AC Ryan(playonhd) to Imac(osx10.7.5) through netwerk. I can logon through mediaplayer to my Imac and see the folders but when i try to open folders i need to logon again and than i got a message logon failed and i cannot open the folders.

Please double check in System Preferences, Sharing if you have the right folders shared plus right permissions (the user you use for logging in) .
Also do not know that specific media player but you may have to tick SMB files sharing along with AFP under Options in that specific file sharing window.
